Asking for help using OghmaNano:

Dear User,
I am very happy to help you use OghmaNano or to fix bugs with OghmaNano. It is my intention, that by making OghmaNano freely available more Scientists and Engineers will understand the device physics behind solar cells and we will more quickly arrive at a renewable and sustainable future. I often get questions asked about OghmaNano, so I have tried to summarize the answers below.
Have fun simulating!
All the best,
Rod

Q: Can I report bugs to you?
A: Yes, please do report bugs to me via e-mail. I will do my best to fix them as quickly as possible (i.e. within 24/24 hours). You can report the bugs via the online system, however I only check this on rainy Sundays when there is not much else to do(!), so if you want a quick response e-mail is best.

Q: You have not answered my e-mail with in 2-3 days what should I do?
A: Send it again, I have probably missed the e-mail.

Q: Can I use the model to make my own graphs and put them in my papers?
A: Sure, the model is published under GPL v2.0, so you can use it for what you want. It would be nice if you cite some of my papers though :).

Q: Can I use OghmaNano in my class to teach students about solar cells?
A: Sure, the model is published under GPL v2.0, so you can use it for what you want.

Q: Do I have to include your name in the author list if I publish work using OghmaNano?
A: No, the model is published under GPL v2.0, so you can use it for what you want without asking me first.

Q: The model does not compile after I downloaded it from github, what do I do?
A: If you are trying to compile it under linux and it does not work e-mail me. The github version is usually bleeding edge, so I may have just broken it, I can usually quickly fix it though. If you are trying to compile it under MS Visual Studio, I can't help you as I really don't know how to use it.

Q: Can I edit the OghmaNano's source code?
A: Sure, the model is published under GPL v2.0, so you do what you want with it.

Q: I don't understand something about the model, can I ask you?
A: Sure, I'll try to answer your questions.

Q: I would like feature x added to the model can you do it for me?
A: Sure, but once I start adding features for you or sinking time into what you are doing, I expect my name to appear on your papers. This might sound a bit mean but I am a young academic and I have justify where my time goes.

Q: I would like a load of help using the model, can you help me?
A: Sure, but once I start sinking significant time into your project, I then expect my name to appear on your related papers. This might sound a bit mean but I am a young academic and I have justify where my time goes.

Q: I have been working with you for a few months, swapping e-mails about modeling, I have now written a paper using OghmaNano, will you help me edit it?
A: Sure, I love editing papers, I'm happy to do this as long as my name appears on the paper.

In summary, I'm really happy to help you use OghmaNano and fix bugs, but if your project starts costing me significant time, I would like some recognition.
