C8-BTBT material model

1. Introduction

This page contains the OghmaNano material model for C8-BTBT (C30H40S2).

C8-BTBT 2,7-dioctyl[1]benzothieno[3,2-b][1]benzothiophene, high-mobility p-type OFET semiconductor

The model is written in Lua and provides simulation-ready material parameterisations for use within OghmaNano. For documentation, licensing, references, and information about the scope and accuracy of these models, see the material scripting documentation.

-- ============================================================================
-- IMPORTANT MODELLING NOTE
-- ----------------------------------------------------------------------------
-- C8-BTBT is a wide-gap, essentially TRANSPARENT (UV-absorbing) p-type OFET
-- semiconductor, among the highest-mobility solution-processable organics:
-- field-effect hole mobilities ~5 cm^2/V/s are routine, with values up to
-- ~43 cm^2/V/s (blade/spin-coated) and even higher locally. It is a hole
-- transporter; the electron mobility is negligible.
