Chapter 9: Organic devices and materials
This chapter covers the simulation of organic semiconductor devices and materials in OghmaNano, including organic solar cells (OPVs), organic light-emitting diodes (OLEDs), and organic field-effect transistors (OFETs). The tutorials use drift-diffusion and optical models to explore charge transport, recombination, trapping, exciton dynamics, bulk heterojunctions, and the electrical and optical behaviour of organic semiconductor devices.
Practical examples include OPV, OLED and OFET device simulations, impedance spectroscopy, IMPS and IMVS, space-charge-limited current (SCLC), electro-thermal modelling, and multidimensional simulations of bulk-heterojunction structures. The chapter combines introductory material with device-physics examples and runnable tutorials for studying the behaviour of organic electronic and optoelectronic devices.
